Project update - November 1, 2023

Willow Pavilion Indigenous Artwork

Thank you for your interest in the Willow Pavilion Indigenous Artwork engagement, which has concluded.

Findings from the engagement helped directly inform the design, creation and installation of a new 900 square foot mural that is now displayed on the exterior of 805 W 12th Ave (near the entrance to Vancouver General Hospital).

The mural, which was designed and painted Diamond Point of Musqueam Nation, honours the Host Nations on whose land the facility is located and reflects the thoughtful input of Willow Pavilion clients, family and staff.

We thank all those who engaged with us on this project and are incredibly grateful for your time, insights and commitment to making Vancouver Coastal Health a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.

In her piece, artist Olivia George, a member of the Tsleil-Waututh Nation, honours her Indigenous culture and beliefs.
