Dear participants in the Medical Staff Website Redesign Engagement,

We are pleased to share the Medical Staff engagement and digital summary report. We would like to express our appreciation for your time and participation in the engagement.

The Engagement and Digital Report provides multiple sources of data and insights into the usage of the medical staff website and other VCH digital properties, including VCH.ca and one.vch.ca. Based on the engagement and audit findings, the report makes the following recommendations:

  • Utilize existing digital channels to improve the efficiency of content creation for the medical staff audience.
  • Focus efforts on moving medical staff-focused content to one.vch.ca.
  • Leverage Staff Hub on VCH.ca/staff-hub or external staff website presence if the information is required to be publically accessible.
  • Increase promotion and awareness of the VCH medical staff web presence in line with communications plans.

Your input has been shared with program leadership, who are now determining how best to support VCH medical professionals in the future.

Please let us know if you have any further questions at ce@vch.ca.

Medical staff website engagement

Engagement with medical staff is a critical component in supporting organizational priorities and innovations in care. Engaging with medical staff on the design of the new website is the very first step in ensuring the new website meets the needs of medical staff and provides information that is timely, useful, accurate, and relevant.

The overarching goal for the new medical staff website is to provide any and all information that medical staff would require in order to feel supported and informed as critical partners in care delivery.

We want to hear from you

We want to hear from medical staff across VCH:

  • Physicians
  • Dentists
  • Midwives
  • Nurse Practitioners.

The engagement will be in the form of a survey, focus groups, or individual interviews.

Please complete the survey below, and let us know if you are interested in participating in a focus group or an interview. Those who express interest in participating in a focus group or an interview will be entered into a draw for an AirPod Pro and a Magsafe charger. The engagement sessions (focus groups and interviews) are expected to last up to approximately one hour and will be held over Zoom.

Each person who participates in a focus group or 1:1 Zoom interview will be entered into a draw to win a pair of AirPods Pro and MagSafe charger. The winner will be notified via email in September.

The deadline to complete the survey and register for the engagement sessions is June 15, 2022.

How will your input make a difference?

Your input will help to redesign a useful, meaningful and easy-to-navigate website for medical staff from all Communities of Care.

Learn more about the process

Currently, VCH.ca is in the final stages of redesign. Since the start of the project, the project team has hosted 18 focus groups with different interests and needs, including focus groups with CEAN (Community Engagement Advisory Network) members, Punjabi-speaking seniors, Cantonese-speaking and Mandarin-speaking members of public, Farsi-speaking newcomers, youth, seniors, service providers, Indigenous service providers and community members, Deaf, Deaf-Blind and hard of hearing Community Advisory Group, staff, medical staff and other general public. We have received feedback from more than 100 people.

The medical staff website redesign will closely align with the redesign process of VCH.ca. The medical staff website will be a child site of the VCH.ca and will be able to leverage any and all functionalities that will be available on the new site. The project team is also initiating a Content Audit process, which will determine which pages on the Medical Staff Website have been most frequently used, accessed and utilized. The Content Audit will happen in parallel to the Phase 1 project engagement. Insights gained through this Content Audit can be reviewed alongside engagement findings to help inform content requirements for the website redesign using the new vch.ca child site template.
