What are we doing?

VCH is creating a short internal video to inspire staff and patients on the importance of mobilizing and activating patients during their hospital stay. Through the voices of patients, families, and caregivers, this video will highlight how simple actions like getting out of bed, walking to the bathroom, or eating meals at a table can make a meaningful difference in a patient’s recovery, dignity, and overall well-being.

How can you get involved?

Patients: We are looking for patients who received care at Lions Gate Hospital (LGH) in the past 12 months and can share their experiences of being helped to stay active and mobile during their stay.

Caregivers: Caregivers who supported a loved one, friend, or family member in LGH and can speak about how mobilizing care impacted their recovery.
