Phase one engagement is complete, and a summary of the key findings is now available online.
VCH has developed a draft clinical services plan for LGH, based on historical data and trends, industry best practices, population projections and community, local First Nations and staff and medical staff input. The draft plan will be the subject of the further engagement with community and staff later this fall.
Once finalized, these plans will provide a vision for future health-care services for the LGH campus, including programming and infrastructure recommendations. Moving forward, VCH will work with the B.C. Government and other relevant partners to further coordinate, engage and advance the recommendations outlined in the CSP, as appropriate.

We want to hear from you
As part ofVCH) we are launching Health Vision Lions Gate Hospital, a high-level planning process for the Lions Gate Hospital (LGH) campus.
Health Vision Lions Gate Hospital will consider all clinical services, including mental health and substance use, long-term care, laboratory medicine, medical imaging services, as well as non-clinical supporting services (parking, food services, laundry, housekeeping, etc.) and regional programs.
Engagement
Phase 2 engagement will seek input from First Nations partners, local North Shore communities, local and regional government, staff, medical staff and other interested parties. There will be engagement opportunities to provide feedback in 2025..
Health Vision Lions Gate Hospital will feature best practices for the delivery of health-care services, consider previous planning exercises and incorporate the latest data to ensure it reflects current and projected health care needs. All community input will also be considered in the development of Health Vision Lions Gate Hospital.
How to get involved
The phase one engagement is now closed, and phase two of engagement is expected in 2025, when there will be other engagement opportunities to learn about the planning process and provide input. Many thanks to everyone who has provided input so far. Anyone interested in the planning process is invited to subscribe to updates.
