We humbly acknowledge that the land on which the Lions Gate Hospital is located is the traditional and unceded territory of the Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.

As part of our ongoing commitment to the delivery of safe, quality care, at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) we are launching Health Vision Lions Gate Hospital, a high-level planning process for the Lions Gate Hospital (LGH) campus.

Health Vision Lions Gate Hospital will consider all clinical services, including mental health and substance use, long-term care, laboratory medicine, medical imaging services, as well as non-clinical supporting services (parking, food services, laundry, housekeeping, etc.) and regional programs.


Phase 1 survey open until June 3, 2024 

Our engagement will seek input from First Nations partners, local North Shore communities, local and regional government, staff, medical staff and other interested parties. In addition to the current survey, there will be other engagement opportunities to provide feedback later this year.

Health Vision Lions Gate Hospital will feature best practices for the delivery of health-care services, consider previous planning exercises and incorporate the latest data to ensure it reflects current and projected health care needs. All community input will also be considered in the development of Health Vision Lions Gate Hospital.
