Hospital at Home Translation Pilot

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking patients, family members, or caregivers with experience in self-administration of medications with English as their second language to provide valuable feedback on the Hospital at Home Medication Administration Record (MAR) translated into Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.

Hospital at Home is a proven, innovative program that offers an alternative to traditional hospitalization. Hospital at Home provides eligible patients with the option to receive hospital-level services in the comfort of their own homes. Patients under this program use a paper-based MAR to self-administer medications and keep track of their current medications, documenting when each medication has been taken.


Who should apply?

We are specifically seeking patients, family members, or caregivers who have experience in self-administration of medications and are fluent in Vietnamese, Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese.


How you can get involved?

The team is organizing three focus groups: the first will be conducted in person at Vancouver General Hospital, while the other two will be conducted online via Zoom. The dates and times of the meetings will be determined based on the availability of group members. An honorarium of $25 per hour will be provided to selected applicants.
