Recruitment - Seeking Members for Richmond Partner and Family Advisory Committee for MHSU
What are we doing?
The Richmond Mental Health and Substance Use Partner and Family Advisory Committee (Richmond PFAC) is currently recruiting people with lived and living experience of mental health and/or substance use, as well as family members, to join the committee.
The goal of the Richmond PFAC is to represent the diverse voices of clients and families within Richmond Mental Health and Substance Use. The group fosters a collaborative environment between patients and families and advocates for teamwork and responsiveness in improving access to services and quality of care.
Additional PFAC opportunities include:
- Consulting on various projects within Mental Health and Substance Use
- Learning about developments in services through guest speakers and information sharing
- Joining working groups and sub-committees of interest
- Participating in interview panels for hiring new staff
How can you get involved?
Do you have lived and living experience of mental health and/or substance use, or are a family member of someone who does? Consider joining the committee.
Who should apply?
Those who primarily receive care services in the Richmond area.
What is the time commitment format?
- The committee meets monthly, working alongside leadership in identifying emerging issues and helping to co-create initiatives and identify potential solutions.
