Recruitment - Professional Image Program (PIP) Steering Committee

What are we doing?

The Professional Image Program (PIP) Steering Committee is looking for patient partners to join their committee who are passionate about shaping the professional image at VCH to improve the patient experience. The PIP Steering Committee is responsible for the governance of Vancouver Coastal Health’s (VCH) professional image program. A key goal is to sustain the recommendations implemented through the Professional Image Project initiative and to continually improve upon the standard policies, guidelines and practices related to maintaining a professional image in the workplace.


How you can get involved?

We are looking for two patient partners to join the PIP steering committee to provide their perspectives and input from a patient lens. The steering committee meets four times per year for 1-hour virtual meetings. Meeting dates/times are determined based on the committee members availability. An honorarium of 25$ per hour can be provided to patient partners who identify as seldom-heard voices.


Who should apply?

Individuals who have recent experience accessing services at any of the Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) Acute Care Facilities are invited to apply (ex. Vancouver General Hospital, Richmond Hospital, Lions Gate Hospital, Sechelt Hospital, G.F. Strong Rehabilitation Centre, etc.).


What is the deadline for this engagement opportunity?

The next PIP Steering Committee meeting will be held at the end of the month of May 2024. Positions will remain open until they are filled.
