What are we doing?
Vancouver Coastal Health, Providence Health Care, and the Provincial Health Services Authority are working together to make it easier for you to access your personal health record through a new digital portal called AccessMyHealth. While this project is being led by our organizations, we’re coordinating closely with provincial partners, including Health Gateway and the BC Services Card team. We're inviting you to share your feedback to help us improve and deliver a secure online portal that offers convenient access to your health information.
Some of the benefits of using the portal include:
- Secure access anytime, anywhere to your personal health records online
- View your latest lab and diagnostic results to prepare for a follow-up appointment
- View your upcoming appointments quickly and easily
- Read notes from your care team to stay informed in your health-care journey
How can you get involved?
We’re hosting two virtual focus groups to share details about the new digital health records portal. These sessions are opportunity for you to help shape its future by providing feedback on:
- Clarity of portal instructions and guidelines
- Patient education material including user-support guides.
- Key words you might use to search for the portal on web browsers like Google
You are invited to register your interest at this time. We will share additional details with registrants once we have determined the dates and times for the focus group.
Who should apply?
This engagement is open to anyone who has accessed or plans to access health records online—patients, caregivers and family members, including those who may serve as proxies. We’re especially interested in hearing from people who have suggestions for improving accessibility and usability with different levels of technical ability.
What is the attendance format?
The sessions will be held over two to three virtual focus groups. The dates and times for these focus groups will be announced to registrants at a later time. Anticipated timing to host the focus groups is November 2025.
Is there an honorarium?
An honorarium of a $25 gift card is being offered to everyone who participates in the focus group.
What is the deadline for this engagement opportunity?
Registration is ongoing until filled. We encourage you to register your interest as soon as possible.
Registration for this opportunity has met capacity. We will be closing additional registrations by 11:59PM on November 4th. Thank you for you interest; we appreciate all who have registered.
