What are we doing?
VCH is creating patient care experience surveys that will ask for feedback about a person's visit to Urgent Primary Care Centres (UPCC). The surveys will help VCH learn about how a person's visit to a UPCC went, what worked well during the visit, and what can be improved.
In order to hear from as many voices as possible, VCH needs to make the survey available in multiple languages, starting with Chinese (simplified and traditional), as well as Farsi.
How YOU can get INVOLVED
We would like the help from people who can read Chinese (simplified and/or traditional) or Farsi fluently to review the translated drafts of the survey alongside the English version. With your help, you can tell us how well the translated versions flows, whether the content is clear and culturally relevant, and whether it is expressed in a way that is safe and respectful.
OK, but what is a Urgent Primary Care Centre?
VCH operates a number of Urgent Primary Care Centres (UPCCs). UPCCs are for people with same-day, non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses when they are unable to see a family doctor or health care provider. UPCCs are important to the health care system as they take the pressure off of emergency departments by providing care to people who do not need emergency health care services but who may go to a hospital's emergency department to seek medical advice and treatment. You can learn more about UPCCs by visiting this link: http://www.vch.ca/your-care/urgent-and-primary-care-centres
Who should express interest?
