Instructions: Start Stop Keep!

The Start/Stop/Keep Method is a tool that can help identify three key elements in evaluating and refining the processes of the CFAC committee.

By looking back at our last year together, seeing where we are now, and looking forward to where we want to go as a committee, we have named a list of actions or items that are part of CFAC. We are asking you to place them in one of the following three categories:

  • Keep: Identify positive aspects of the committee that we want to keep doing. "This is working well, let's keep doing this.
  • Stop: We can explore stopping, changing or adapting these items. "This is not working well, let's change it or stop doing it completely."
  • Start: Identify new actions that the committee could start implementing that would move you closer to your goals. "We have never done this before, but I think we should start."
1.

From the list of actions and items below, what would you like for the CFAC committee to "Keep, Stop, or Start" doing in the next year?

Community agreement
Meeting length (e.g. meetings are currently 1.5 hours)
Meeting format (e.g. mix of virtual meetings and working time)
VCH guests attending CFAC meetings
At the in-person January meeting, the group suggested keeping a copy of completed items in a folder, for members to access and see the committees progress
Balance between caregiver and client perspectives
