CEAN Review
Updated on March 14, 2023
The Community Engagement team is excited to share the summary report of the CEAN Review Engagement. Building on what we heard during the engagement, we will develop an action plan to continue evolving CEAN as a key community engagement resource for the health authority.
The report summarizes the input received from members of CEAN, those who work with CEAN, and other VCH partners who work with patient partners.

PROJECT BACKGROUND
Community Engagement Advisory Network (CEAN) is a network of patient and family advisors, volunteers and members of public who provide input on quality improvement, service improvement and other engagement projects at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH).
CEAN is one of the main sources of patient and family advisors for VCH engagement projects / committees that seek patient, family and public input. CEAN members provide valuable input around quality improvement, service re-design, and redevelopment projects across VCH Communities of Care. As we conclude another productive year, we are taking a step back to assess what areas of CEAN have been working well and where there may exist opportunities for improvement.
WHO DO WE NEED TO HEAR FROM?
This is an opportunity to review numerous aspects of CEAN, including recruitment, onboarding, diversity, member engagement, project experience and supports. If you are or were previously involved with CEAN, we want to hear from you!
HOW WILL YOUR INPUT BE USED?
Your input will be used to identify recommendations for improving CEAN.
