Advisor - Regional Primary Care Committee (Open to CEAN Members)

What are we doing?

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) oversees the Regional Primary Care Steering Committee, which is tasked with providing direction to the Regional Primary Care Program, including Primary Care Networks.

Committee members, of whom include medical and administrative leaders and public advisors, collaborate together in providing strategic direction and recommendations to the program and evaluates the program in order to measure how it is meeting the needs of the VCH region.

The following principles guide the steering committee:

  • Patient and family-centred care
  • Culturally safe and responsive care
  • Best practice standards
  • Innovation and creativity
  • Data driven decisions
  • Sustainable solutions
  • Alignment with VCH and Ministry of Health strategies

Committee members are expected to advise the committee with these principles in mind.


How YOU can get INVOLVED 

The committee is seeking, at most, two public advisory members to join.


Who should apply? 

Do you have an interest in how VCH partners and delivers primary care services? Especially around topics like access and service quality? Then you should apply.


What is the time commitment format?

  • The committee meets once a month for 1.5 hours via Zoom.
